Tacoma Bridge Disaster
Tacoma Narrows Bridge disaster occurred in 1940 - this color video shows the incredible vibrations the bridge went through before the collapse (ending the life of one frightened dog, trapped in a car). These "waves" occurred due to the mechanical resonance, induced by wind.
